Since the launch of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing celestial beings, evil spirits, and sinister influences expanding in power within the urban setting.
Note: Key plot points for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and presented the initial group of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to begin their own adventure, distinct from the other two tables.
The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, weaving together the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
Upon first impression, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might appear out of place, but the actions of episode 3 show why these particular heroes are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
First, the team understands precisely where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the campaign’s events—manipulated the enemy for his own means, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his debts and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each character has a individual motive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the northern area and cautions that it is a nasty location.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- But, their position as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The grateful character vowed a life debt to Wicander for his rescue and will now accompany him wherever.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally too risky:
- Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The cleric turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
- Teor is marked for death by the clan.
This leaves them few options but to head to the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.
What’s Next?
